During Thursday’s park board meeting, Board Secretary Kim Burke said she’s been getting five or six shelter reservations per day. Town manager and board member Brad Zellers added that there have even been some April reservations, something not typically seen.

The Memorial Swinging Bridge Project says Bonnell Grain Handling became its first large donor back in December, with a $3,000 check presentation. The goal is to install the lighting feature in time for the bridge’s centennial on July 4, 2023, when a large rededication ceremony is planned.

Area food banks will be making visits to North Judson and Winamac tomorrow, March 16. A drive-through food distribution will be held at St. Peter Lutheran Church at 810 West Talmer Avenue from 10:00 a.m. to noon CDT, according to the Food Bank of Northern Indiana’s website. Items will be available on a first come, first served basis for those in need of food assistance.
