Those owing money to Pulaski County Emergency Medical Services have a few more weeks before collection efforts resume.
EMS Director Brandon DeLorenzo reminded the county commissioners Monday that collections had been put on hold when the COVID-19 pandemic began. “The billing company has contacted me and wanted to see if you guys want to resume collections for people that aren’t paying on their accounts,” DeLorenzo explained.
Commissioner Mike McClure wanted to resume collections. He felt that letting it go for too long could lead to problems. But Commissioner Jerry Locke suggested waiting until the governor opens the state completely.
In the end, the commissioners voted to resume collections on August 1. DeLorenzo didn’t know how much money is currently owed.
