Pulaski County Council to Vote on Revised Justice Center Bond Tonight

A decision on whether to proceed with the Pulaski County Justice Center renovation and expansion is expected from the county council and commissioners tonight.

Last month, the council narrowly approved the first reading of an ordinance that would let the bond process move ahead without the involvement of the county auditor. The ordinance will be up for the council’s final approval during tonight’s joint session with the county commissioners. A related resolution will be up for the commissioners’ approval.

Tonight’s joint Pulaski County Council and Commissioners meeting starts at 6:00 EDT in the Pulaski County Highway Garage, followed by the council’s regular meeting at 7:00.

Council members are expected to continue discussing a pay raise for EMS staff. The council voted back in April to consider an EMS wage restructuring, but the formal amendment to the salary matrix apparently wasn’t ready in time for last month’s meeting.

Tonight’s meetings will be streamed live on the Pulaski County, Indiana, Government Facebook page.
