Local hospitals are tightening restrictions on visitors. Starting March 17, Starke Hospital will only allow visitors to emergency department, surgery, the labor and delivery unit, and pediatric patients, as well as patients at the end of life. Patients in other areas are not allowed to have visitors.

The Starke County Public Library System has closed all of its locations until further notice. Those with library materials are asked not to return them yet, according to the library’s Facebook page.
