Winamac’s property taxes will soon be going up slightly. The town council voted Monday to reestablish the Cumulative Capital Development Fund at its maximum rate of five cents per $100 of assessed valuation. It’s currently at 4.23 cents, since it decreases over time.

Winamac High School Principal Jeremy Tucker’s resignation was formally accepted by the Eastern Pulaski School Board Monday. Tucker submitted his resignation letter on February 21. He had been on paid administrative leave since January 24, as school officials investigated allegations of misconduct.
