Twenty-Five Percent of North Judson-San Pierre Students Starting School Year Virtually

North Judson-San Pierre’s school year is off to a good start, according to Superintendent Dr. Annette Zupin. “We started school. We’re almost a week into it, and the staff and the students have been wonderful,” Zupin told the school board Tuesday. “They’ve been great. The students have been very cooperative with the masks. The teachers have been flexible and accommodating.”

Resolutions Approved to Issue Bonds for N.J.-S.P. Elementary Renovations

Financial arrangements are in place for North Judson-San Pierre Elementary School’s $10 million renovation project. Bonds will be issued using the lease-rental process, in which the ownership of the property is transferred to a legally-separate building corporation and leased back by the school, with the rent covering the cost of the bond payment.

North Judson-San Pierre Joins Starke Taskforce for Overdose Prevention

The North Judson-San Pierre School Corporation is officially part of the Starke Taskforce for Overdose Prevention. Superintendent Dr. Annette Zupin says the school board approved a memorandum of understanding with Porter-Starke Services last week, allowing N.J.-S.P. to join the consortium. Zupin says she’ll serve as the school corporation’s representative and bring ideas back to the schools.
