Beverage manufacturer Common Collabs is planning to set up operations in Knox, creating up to 80 jobs in the coming years. Culver TIF District Additions Get OK from Plan Commission
The members of the Culver Redevelopment Commission went before the Culver Plan Commission Tuesday night to present the approved addition of three parcels to the TIF District.
Redevelopment Commission President Kathy Clark said the plan commission members found that the proposal meets the specifications of the town’s comprehensive plan and now it will go before the Culver Town Council for approval.
Knox TIF District Fund over $151,000
Knox Mayor Rick Chambers has notified the Knox City Council that the TIF fund has grown to just over $151,000. The fund has grown to this level over the past two years. Before that, those funds were not building, but the City contracted with Umbaugh and Associates to determine the amount due. Money from the TIF fund can be used within the district for redevelopment, public improvement projects, training, or making bond payments.
The Council members are to prepare suggestions for how a portion of the funds can be used for upgrades.
