The Winter Storm Warning continues in La Porte, Porter, and St. Joseph Counties, but Starke County and Marshall County are now under a Winter Weather Advisory until 7 a.m. ET Saturday, January 20. The Winter Weather Advisory in Pulaski County has been allowed to expire. In La Porte, Porter and St. Joseph Counties, heavy lake effect snow is anticipated with additional snow accumulations of 2 to 9 inches. Whiteout conditions with near zero visibility are expected at times. In Marshall and Starke Counties, lake effect snow is anticipated with additional snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches. Localized higher amounts are possible should the lake effect snow band linger in any one spot.
Town of Winamac Lifts Boil Water Order
The Town of Winamac has lifted the boil water order in place due to a broken water main.
Tap water can now be consumed without boiling it first. If there are any questions, call the Winamac Town Hall at 574-946-3451.
