Medaryville Voters to Choose Clerk-Treasurer, Town Council Members Today

Medaryville voters have their choice of clerk-treasurer and town council candidates today. Republican Stacy Conley and Democrat Kendra S. Miller are vying to replace Democrat Judy Harwood as clerk-treasurer. Harwood is challenging incumbent Republicans Ray Saltsman, Robert Schultz, and Suzanna J. Wilcoxon for the three town council seats.

Starke County Election Board to Work on Vote Center Details this Morning

The Starke County Election Board will continue working on the details of a potential switch to vote centers this morning. Board members are expected to discuss possible vote center sites, as well as how many voters they would expect to use each of them. They’re expected to set a date for a technology test and review the timetable for completing the vote center plan. The election board is also holding town hall meetings tonight and tomorrow night, to discuss the potential switch with the public.

Starke County Election Board to Finalize Early Voting Hours, Location

Early voting hours for North Judson’s town election are expected to be finalized during a special Starke County Election Board meeting this morning. Since North Judson is the only place in Starke County holding an election this fall, board members have decided to set up a satellite absentee voting location there. But they still need to pick a location and set the specific hours.

Town-Organized Elections Will Mean Cost Savings for Pulaski County Government

Medaryville and Monterey will be handling their own General Elections this year, without the direct involvement of the Pulaski County Election Board. County Clerk JoLynn Behny told the rest of the county election board Tuesday that she’s received a resolution to that effect from the Town of Medaryville, and she expects Monterey to send one soon.
