A North Judson woman is dead, following a crash on State Road 39. The Starke County Sheriff’s Office says that just after 6:30 Saturday morning, it got a report of a Honda Civic submerged upside-down in a drainage ditch in the 1500 south block of the highway. When emergency responders arrived, they reportedly found Shari Lynn Zimmerman, 53, dead inside the car.

The Oregon-Davis School Board accepted more than $2,100 in donations last week. A large chunk of that was for student lunch accounts, including $500 from VFW Post #748, $400 from the Starke County Sheriff’s Department, and $250 from an anonymous donor. The Knox Masonic Lodge donated $665 for the schools’ music department, and Farm Fertilizers provided more than $200 for the Oregon-Davis FFA chapter.
