Winamac Park Board to Award Construction Bid for New Town Park Restrooms Tonight

The Winamac Park Board will award a construction bid for the Town Park restroom project tonight. Plans call for the old brick restrooms to be demolished and replaced with a new structure, with more ADA-compliant stalls and more room in general. The park board received bids from the FORM-IT Corporation for $165,000 and Gariup Construction Company for $347,500.

Culver Officials Explore Funding Options for Cavalier Sports Park Trail

Culver Town Council members were informed about a plan to potentially remove that the alternates listed for the Cavalier Sports Park project when they met last Thursday.

Town Manager Jonathan Leist said that when the bids were being considered, the cost of non-construction expenses was unintentionally left out which resulted in a shortfall of about $48,000 in the project budget.

More Than 25 People Arrested in Multi-Agency Enforcement on Tippecanoe River

Nearly thirty individuals were taken into the custody after concerns from Pulaski County residents prompted a multi-officer patrol on the Tippecanoe River on Saturday.

Authorities report that Indiana DNR Conservation Officers conducted a patrol on the river on August 31st in response to citizen complaints that included excessive littering and other suspected criminal activity. Some of those issues were addressed during a previous Winamac Town Council meeting.
