A Union Mills man has died, following an off-road vehicle crash in LaPorte County. Indiana Conservation Officers say it happened shortly after midnight Sunday morning, in a field near 1100 West and 1500 South.

The LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the three-year-old boy run over by a tractor Wednesday. Edward Burek-Phillips, called “Bubby” by his family, was riding his bike on his family’s farm when it happened, according to police.

Police are looking for a man who led officers on a high-speed chase through two counties Friday evening. Deputies with the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office say it began around 8:15, when they spotted a speeding vehicle traveling east on U.S. 20 near State Road 39.
