A boil water order remains in effect for residents on the northeast side of Knox. Clerk-Treasurer Jeff Houston says the water is back on, following an earlier water main break. He explained, “First week in April was the spring clean leaf collection. The guys vacuumed up 90 yards of leaves which is a fairly large amount.”

Tonight’s 6 o’clock meeting at the Nancy J. Dembowski Center will focus on this funding opportunity provided through the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority.
IHCDA officials report that this is a way to help residents address home conditions that, if otherwise left unattended, would create an issue with the integrity of the home or become a detriment to the residents’ quality of life.
Applications for the program will only be available during this meeting.
